Utilities Department

The City offers full-service water and sewer utilities to our residents. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns regarding water and sewer billing, usage, metering, or infrastructure, please contact Amy Nichols at City Hall.

In addition to water and sewer, the City contracts Republic Waste for solid waste collection. This provider picks up solid waste every Monday within the City and picks up recyclable materials every other Monday. The City is also currently initiating a program to have Republic offer a yearly service to pick up and receive bulk, corrosive, and other waste materials i.e. paint. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or requests to pick up unusual or bulk items, please contact Republic Waste directly using the number provided.

If you have a question regarding private utility provisions such as phone, cable, or gas & electric, or if you are new to the community the listed utility companies are the primary providers in the Swartz Creek area.

Water and sewer are billed on a quarterly basis with a minimum residentail bill for $127.25. Water meters are read quarterly around the 20th of the month beginnig in January, with the bill being sent to residents the next month.
