Rick Clolinger

Rick Clolinger 'RP' graduated from Montrose High School in 1977. He then graduated from the Flint Police Academy in May 1978 and began employment with the City of Montrose. During this time, he also served as a part-time officer for the City of Swartz Creek. October of that year, he began work as a full-time patrolman in the City of Swartz Creek. He served in this capacity untill July of 1995 when he was promoted to Sergeant. After years of service in this capacity, he was appointed Police Chief in summer 2002.

He has been a City resident for 30 years. During this time, he married Debbie and had two childern, Brittney and Devin. He has recently become involved in coaching baseball, basketball, and varsity softball, as well as other civic activities. President for the Genesee County Chiefs of Police Association from 2004-2005. He currently serves on the Genesee County Emergency Management Committee, the Genesee County Prosectuters Office F.A.C.T. Committee, and the Swartz Creek Community School's "Creek Cares" Committee.
